Sasnovich holds off Schmiedlova, posts first tour-level win of 2024
Qualifier Aliaksandra Sasnovich saved three set points in the second set to defeat Anna Karolina Schmiedlova in the first round of the Internazionali BNL d'Italia and notch her first WTA main draw win since Nanchang 2023.
